During the course of the year, usually during holiday periods, Technoda opens its doors to the residents of the region for a day of experiential educational activities based on a specific theme. Visitors are invited to participate in a range of hands-on science and technology activities and workshops. Children and parents work and play together with a variety of materials that allow them to explore scientific phenomena and to take part in experiments, model building, observations, trivia contests, and fascinating lectures and demonstrations. Some of our previous events were “A Star is Born” astronomy happening, “A Taste of Science” with activities based on the five senses, and most recently “Survivor: Technoda Islands”, an adventure based happening that let visitors experience first hand how to survive by creating fire, desalinating sea water, treating snake bites and dealing with hypothermia. Whatever the theme, every happening is experiential, educational and enjoyable!
